Dogs still need a lot of protein even when they get old. It is important that they consume lean, easily digestible, and high quality protein. This is because these amino acids are important in the body for many building and regeneration processes, for cell formation and maintaining bodily tissues. This is why our Seniors meals contain 60% meat content, which mainly consists of muscle and heart meat. Since digesting grains and pseudo-grains is very difficult for the aging dogs' increasingly sluggish gastrointestinal tracts, this line is grain-free.
The most common complaints associated with ageing in dogs are related to the heart, joints, kidneys, and bladder, as well as the immune system. Accordingly, we have turned our attention to nature and sought species-appropriate medicinal herbs that are known to relieve these conditions and are used to treat them in naturopathy.
Our wet food meals are made in a food processing facility, an Upper Bavarian traditional butcher's. Only food-grade ingredients are used. In addition to the fresh muscle meat and "good offal" such as heart and liver, there are over 20 different types of vegetables, fruits, and herbs in our meals.
